On 31st noon, at Seoul Yeouido KBS new building, in the 2009 KBS Drama Award Ceremony, Goo Hye Soo, Lee Min Ho and Kim Hyun Joong are nominated under the 'Best Couple Award' category.
Goo Hye Soo acted in the popular drama in KBS 2TV 'Boys over Flowers' as 'Geum Jan Di' and was involved in the love triangle between F4 leader 'Goo Jun Pyo' acted by Lee Min Ho and Kim Hyun Joong. It has attracted the support of many viewers.
During the broadcast of 'Boys over Flowers', a portion of the viewers supported Goo Hye Soo and Kim Hyun Joong's as a couple, there's also another portion of viewers who were greatly concerned of Goo Hye Soo and Lee Min Ho's love. The F4 members and Goo Hye Soo continued to maintain their close friendship after the drama filming has completed.
In this award ceremony, the nomination for 'Best Couple Award' include 'Invincible Lee Pyung Kang' Gir Yong Woo - Choi Myeong Gil, 'My Precious Child' Kim Sung Soo - Lee Tae Ran, 'Hot Blood' Park Hae Jin - Jo Yoon Hee.

GHS: It was very stressful filming at that time. It was a cold winter. I was thrown eggs, tomatoes and flour. After that GJP comes out and carries me away. He only came out to do the charming part all by himself. (GHS had a teasing tone as she said it.) Right?

GHS: LMH-ssi has very good manners and often took good care of me. KHJ may seem blunt and asocial yet very manly. KB--well. he is the type women really like. He is very similar to the character he plays--So Yi Jung. KJ is older and so very thoughtful. Even when he says just one thing, he speaks with kindness and consideration. ummm,,,everybody was just charming.

GHS: I always loved music, art and anything artistic. I was looking for ways to use everything that I love to do and making movies seems to be it. I also recently made a New Age album with Isao Sasaki and will be doing more musical activities. (she forgot to tell them that she just had a concert with Isao the night before!)
Then, GHS sings her song from the album. She only sings the first verse.

Maybe the sound system of that first cut of GHS was not quite clear? I remember her neon colored sneakers when she was buying something at the Japan airport on a different day!)

GHS: Feels a bit awkward because it has been a long time since I saw them. It's been a long time, so,,,(GHS laughs and moves towards the stage with KB.)

When LMH talks about his BOF character and how he is a selfish character, GHS starts laughing and the rest of remaing F4 also laugh. LMH feels grateful for the fans that came to greet him at the airport the day before yesterday even though his arrival was not announced to the public. GHS talks about a Japanese fan who wrote her a letter in Korean and how she felt very touched by that because, even though it was hard for her to understand the letter, she really felt the love of the fan.

GHS is practicing her Japanese in the elevator and saying to the reporter that she is nervous. This must be just before they go on the stage for the first time on Sept. 6th.

They call for GHS first and KJ comments teasingly that she is first in rank.

I may be translating this incorrectly but I think the other F4 are not that interested in sitting next to KB whose face lost lots of weight. KB says that he does not want to go. (I think he is saying he is dreading leaving the event early to return to Korea for his movie, right?) Then LMH says, 'Ah, I thought you said that you lost your passport!' (I think they are joking around.)
@1:30 LMH asks where he is suppose to stand on the stage. He is told that GHS will go out first to the center and then he just needs to find his spot to the right of her.
@ 3:38 (before that GHS and KB and another lady are talking--but cannot hear.)
Reporter:What is it like to meet the Japanese audience?
GHS: just nervous but very good. Many more people came today--more than the last time. Very good.
Then, KB yells at GHS to come quickly as they were called to the stage. (GHS and F3 line up and greet the fans. A littel later, KHJ also joins the group. It was interesting that nobody talked about the missing KHJ behind the stage--I guess they were instructed not to talk about even any worries about him? or maybe they had to cut those parts out??)

GHS: I made so many mistakes. I forgot to say 'enjoyable' and 'to expect'.

T-Ara Jiyeon telah dibawa ke rumah sakit (29 Desember 2009) dan saat ini menerima resep obat dan perawatan.
Jiyeon benar-benar lelah dan letih dari jadwal sibuk mempromosikan Bo Peep Bo Peep serta film untuk 2TV KBS God of Study
Tapi ini bukan kunjungan pertama Jiyeon ke rumah sakit:

G-Dragon and CL get criticized
2NE1's baddest female CL drew attention with her revealing outfit at the 2009 SBS Gayo Daejun. The outfit was a bit like the other sexy black one she wore for G-Dragon's solo concert.
While performing The Leaders, she wore a black leotard/body suit outfit that showed her stomach and bra. It was bound to draw bad and good feedback from fans.
Some netizens are mad about how she wore that when she's still underaged. Reminds me of Hyuna's situation with her short dresses.
Netizens commented, "She might as well have worn underwear," "I can't believe they made an underaged girl wear that." But other liked the risky choice in style, "It's been a while since I've seen such a good stage," "The energy is amazing."
G-Dragon also wore clothes that made people speechless, in a bad way. I can't think of another word than just plain "weird." His gelled down hair and checker capris made people second guess this "fashionista."
If someone says they liked his outfit, they are a true fan. The jacket was beyond bizarre and none of clothing added up. The leggings pants made me a bit dizzy.
People were definitely disappointed with the fashion choices YG made this time even though the rest of the YG family looked good.

Setelah pingsan di tengah-tengah konser, Baek Ji Young berhalangan hadir di SBS Gayo Daejun. Sebelumnya hari ini, Baek Ji Young-upload sebuah surat permintaan maaf kepada para penggemar melalui Rouge (루즈), penggemar penyanyi kafe.
Aku minta maaf, dan aku minta maaf karena melanggar janjiku untuk tampil. Kehidupan seorang seniman bergantung pada / kesehatannya ... sehingga terutama salahku karena tidak merawat tubuhku sendiri. Aku dengan tulus minta maaf dari lubuk hatiku. ... Pada penampilan Dinner Party ku, kesehatanku tidak baik, aku bahkan tidak bisa berdiri sendiri. TVXQ’s Changmin loses weight?

Big Bang vs SS501 battle on martzzang
Earlier in the month, online portal site martzzang.com pitted TVXQ / DBSK / Tohoshinki's against Big Bang in a battle of album sales. TVXQ gave Big Bang a big beating with 95% of the sales.
This formula of pitting one group vs another has been proven highly successful for martzzang, bringing out the fan girls to purchase albums so their favorite idols will win. Now, martzzang is pitting SS501 up against Big Bang. The competition lasts from December 29th at 9:00 AM to December 31st 8:50AM pitting SS501's Rebirth mini-album 7,500won (around $6.50) vs Big Bang 2009 Live Concert album 7,900won (around $6.70). Some of the proceeds from the sales will go to charity.

TVXQ plays on Venezuelan Radio Station
On December 28th, TVXQ / DBSK / Tohoshinki's hit Mirotic played on one of Venezuela's top radio stations Universo 107.1 FM. This news shouldn't be too surprising, considering the fact that Jaejoong's image was spotted recently in the country. It's still pretty cool none the less.
The radio station even conducted an interview with The President and Vice President from the local Venezuelan Fanclub named "Purple Flame." If you can read Spanish, you can read the information here.

Mr. Fuji Gil of LeeSsang and Kim Yong Jun of SG Wannabe have been awarded the 2009 MBC Entertainment Awards, "Male Newcomer Award."
This year, Gil participated in hit variety shows, "Infinity Challenge," and "Come To Play," while Kim Yong Jun participated in make-believe marriage reality show, "We Got Married."

[MBC Entertainment Awards] High Kick Through The Roof’s Little Actresses Win The Children Daesang!
The MBC 2009 awards ceremony awarded the two young actresses, Seo Shin Hye and Jin Ji Hwe of MBC's hilarious sitcom, "High Kick Through The Roof," for the child actors/actresses division!
The two walked up to the stage and little Seo Shin Hye surprised the whole "High Kick Through The Roof cast" because she broke out into tears as soon as she received her award.
Jin Ji Hwe, who is known for one famous phrase, "Bbang Ggoo Ddong Ggoo," quietly received her award and smiled brightly as usual. Congratulations to the two little girls for winning such a big award!

[MBC Entertainment Awards] Hwang Jung Eum and UEE Win Female Newcomer Awards!
At the 2009 MBC Entertainment Awards, the "Female Variety Newcomer Awards" went to the wives of make-believe marriage reality show, (We Got Married) Hwang Jung Eum and UEE!
Hwang Jung Eum expressed her gratitude by saying, "at first I was hesitant about acting but it was good that I did not let this chance pass by. I thank the staff members who cared for us even more because we (Hwang Jung Eum, Kim Yong Joon) are a real couple."
UEE said, "I thank my 'husband' Park Jae Jung oppa for helping me win this award even though I am so spoiled and have much to learn. I will never forget you. I also thank Hwi Jae oppa."

Competition is intense among After School members
After School is a pretty unique group among the other groups in the K-pop scene at the moment. Unlike the other groups who have a fixed number of members, After School adopts a school system where one could graduate, so there's much freedom.
When After School made their debut in January 2009, they were a 5-member group. UEE then joined After School in April 2009, making it a 6-member group. Soyoung then left in November, with Nana and Raina joining in to become a 7-member group.
- Have to split up into 3 sub groups
The addition of a new member means that they would also need to increase the number of makeup artist, manager, etc.
During their Diva promotions, they only needed a 12-seater vehicle. But with 7 members now, they require 2 vehicles. Their headcount for every performance now total 15 people, 7 After School members, 3 makeup artistes, 3 managers, and 2 -3 stylists.
One of their managers said, "We have to do a headcount everytime we board the bus. When it gets really busy backstage, we also have to line up the members and do a headcount. It's no joke when it gets to meal times."
And in order to keep up with their busy schedules, the members have to split up and head for 3 different beauty salons in Gangnam.
With all 7 members living under the same roof, there are specific rules to adhere to.
For example, it's really sensitive when it comes to using the washroom. Usually the unnie members will get priority, before it filters down to who has an earlier schedule, etc.
- Intense competition among members
Competition has been ramped up a notch with the increase in members. "It would be a lie if we were to say that there's no rivalry between us. Everyone wants to be in the middle or sing a few more lines". (Juyeon)
Promotions for their new song, Because of You has been pretty intense as one Pledis Entertainment staff revealed, "It's really tiring having to coordinate stuff with them because of the intense competition among each member. In order to not alienate or hurt anyone, we have to consider many things delicately, like for example where they stand during their dance chereography, song distribution, etc in order to be fair.
With the intense competition, practice time has also been lengthened because of that. "There's not a moment to lose really. Other than sleeping time, the rest would be devoted to rehearsing. Starting from 3 in the afternoon, the members would be repeating their routines over and over again which stretches to 6 the next morning." (Kahi)
With so many girl groups in the scene now, After School has something that most of them do not have and that is their height. With an average height of 1.7m, the After School members are able to engage in difficult dance routines.
"We aren't the most pretty or fairy-lookalike group. I often sigh to myself how can we be as pretty as them when we see the other groups." (Bekah)

HAM releases Doo Geun Doo Geun MV
We reported earlier in the day that rookie group, HAM (Heart and Mind) will be releasing their second single since T.T Dance 3 months ago.
The wait is now over and the MV features the girls filming it in Osaka, Japan where they are based right now as they film a Japanese variety show. Unlike their previous hook song, their new single, Doo Geun Doo Geun has a sweet cute melody, suggesting that they are going down the cute genre.

1 out of every 12.5 people got a ticket for Big Bang’s Big Show
The tickets for Big Bang's January concert, 2010 Big Show, went on sale on the night of the 28th on G Market. The 12,000 seats were sold out in five minutes!
And the competition was fierce. One person out of every 12.5 people got a ticket. That's less than a 10% chance of getting a ticket. 150,000 tried to get tickets but as you may have figured out only 12,000 of them succeeded.
I'm guessing their Korean fans have missed them so much they really tried hard this time. Who wouldn't? Big Bang members are also busy with some year-end shows but they are working extra hard on their concert preparations because it's been a long time since they've greeted their Korean fans together with all members present.
Seungri and Daesung thought of having a stage that reaches out further to the fans so they could be closer to them. No wonder these fans were dying to buy the tickets.
YG Entertainment said, "Big Bang didn't release an album this year but G-Dragon and Taeyang had their solo activities, they had a drama OST, and a Japanese album and expanded their fields. We are having many meetings to make this concert the best."
The concerts will be held from the 29th of January to the 31st. More tickets will be made available for the other days, so ticketless fans still have a chance.

Sebuah situs berita Cina baru-baru ini mengeluarkan sebuah artikel berjudul “Hangeng telah diremehkan oleh SNSD” dan menyebabkan kegemparan di antara para penggemar.

Origin of writing in Korea
Chinese writing has been known in Korea for over 2,000 years. It was used widely during the Chinese occupation of northern Korea from 108 BC to 313 AD. By the 5th century AD, the Koreans were starting to write in Classical Chinese - the earliest known example of this dates from 414 AD. They later devised three different systems for writing Korean with Chinese characters: Hyangchal (향찰/鄕札), Gukyeol (구결/口訣) and Idu (이두/吏讀). These systems were similar to those developed in Japan and were probably used as models by the Japanese.
The Idu system used a combination of Chinese characters together with special symbols to indicate Korean verb endings and other grammatical markers, and was used to in official and private documents for many centuries. The Hyangchal system used Chinese characters to represent all the sounds of Korean and was used mainly to write poetry.
The Koreans borrowed a huge number of Chinese words, gave Korean readings and/or meanings to some of the Chinese characters and also invented about 150 new characters, most of which are rare or used mainly for personal or place names.
The Korean alphabet was invented in 1444 and promulgated it in 1446 during the reign of King Sejong (r.1418-1450), the fourth king of the Joseon Dynasty. The alphabet was originally called Hunmin jeongeum, or "The correct sounds for the instruction of the people", but has also been known as Eonmeun (vulgar script) and Gukmeun (national writing). The modern name for the alphabet, Hangeul, was coined by a Korean linguist called Ju Si-gyeong (1876-1914). In North Korea the alphabet is known as 조선글 (josoen guel).
The shapes of the consonants are based on the shape the mouth made when the corresponding sound is made, and the traditional direction of writing (vertically from right to left) most likely came from Chinese, as did the practice of writing syllables in blocks.
Even after the invention of the Korean alphabet, most Koreans who could write continued to write either in Classical Chinese or in Korean using the Gukyeol or Idu systems. The Korean alphabet was associated with people of low status, i.e. women, children and the uneducated. During the 19th and 20th centuries a mixed writing system combining Chinese characters (Hanja) and Hangeul became increasingly popular. Since 1945 however, the importance of Chinese characters in Korean writing has diminished significantly.
Since 1949 hanja have not been used at all in any North Korean publications, with the exception of a few textbooks and specialized books. In the late 1960s the teaching of hanja was reintroduced in North Korean schools however and school children are expected to learn 2,000 characters by the end of high school.
In South Korea school children are expected to learn 1,800 hanja by the end of high school. The proportion of hanja used in Korean texts varies greatly from writer to writer and there is considerable public debate about the role of hanja in Korean writing.
Most modern Korean literature and informal writing is written entirely in hangeul, however academic papers and official documents tend to be written in a mixture of hangeul and hanja.
Notable features of Hangeul
* There are 24 letters (jamo) in the Korean alphabet: 14 consonants and 10 vowels. The letters are combined together into syllable blocks.
For example, Hangeul is written: 한(han) ᄒ(h) + ᅡ(a) + ᄂ(n) 글(geul) ᄀ(g) + ᅳ(eu) + ᄅ(l)
* The shapes of the the consontants g/k, n, s, m and ng are graphical representations of the speech organs used to pronounce them. Other consonsants were created by adding extra lines to the basic shapes.
* The shapes of the the vowels are based on three elements: man (a vertical line), earth (a horizontal line) and heaven (a dot). In modern Hangeul the heavenly dot has mutated into a short line.
* Spaces are placed between words, which can be made up of one or more syllables.
* The sounds of some consonants change depending on whether they appear at the beginning, in the middle, or at the end of a syllable.
* A number of Korean scholars have proposed an alternative method of writing Hangeul involving writing each letter in a line like in English, rather than grouping them into syllable blocks, but their efforts have been met with little interest or enthusiasm.
* In South Korea hanja are used to some extent in Korean texts.
* Korean can be written in vertical columns running from top to bottom and right to left, or in horizontal lines running from left to right.
Used to write
Korean (한국어 / 조선말), a language spoken by about 63 million people in South Korea, North Korea, China, Japan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Russia. The relationship between Korean and other languages is not known for sure, though some linguists believe it to be a member of the Altaic family of languages.
